There were no surprises during the first meeting of the Reserve Bank under a Gillard government, with the board making the decision to leave the cash rate on hold at 4.5 per cent.
With job advertisements up 2.7% in June and unemployment figures standing at 5.2%, the Reserve Bank is expecting that Australia will enjoy a strong recovery buoyed by a powerful rise in terms of trade and a surge of investment in the resources industry. It is a fact that the front of a store makes the first impression on customers who venture inside. That is why it is somewhat surprising that so few businesses invest the proper amount of time designing and crafting a solid image to the front of their store. Customers will always evaluate the value of a store based on this first impression. They need to be sold on your store before they purchase anything inside of it. That is why developing the proper and effective shop signage is so critically important to the success of a storefront business.

There are a number of factors that affect the growth in House prices, however the old theory of Supply and Demand are always at the core. Essentially, if the demand is higher than the product available (the supply) generally prices will increase. This is a basic theory that is quite evident in recent topical issues such as Bananas after Cyclone Larry.
With the continued population growth around Australia, especially in South East Queensland, Demand longer term remains quite strong, albeit after a small pause due to the uncertainty of employment over the last 18 months.

However, I believe that most business owners, myself included struggle with translating strategic goals into the individual actions necessary to achieve them without some kind of assistance. This is primarily because of the perceived enormity of the task. Remember the old adage that the journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step.
